Daffodil Day 2021

 Today was Daffodil Day and sadly the street appeal has been cancelled because of Lockdown. What a shame!

I always acknowledge Daffodil Day and give generously because many of our family have had cancer.

I have some miniature daffodils growing in a pot on my deck but they are not flowering yet. 

So in spite of Lockdown I did dress up for Daffodil Day and found a daffodil from last year's street appeal.

I am also testing using a table in blog and putting images in it to get them formatted in a more appealing way. Here goes with the table and images...

Creative Mind Competition

 I have created a game in Gamefroot.

My game is about Hinehakirirangi keeping the Kumara safe and making it to the Marae. I have used music created by Reuben from Ilminster School. I chose this music because it gives an element of suspense to my game and you had to be careful not to fall on the spikes. 

I found it really hard to get my player to not fall into infinity. I had to find a special piece of code to stop this happening. 

I really liked having New Zealand characters and media to use in the game. It really looks like it is about New Zealand.  

Next time I think I could create my own music because I found out that Ilminster used Sountrap and I know I could go there and make my own.

 Today we were learning how to embed a slide deck.    

I am awesome.

Easter Animation

 Today we were learning how to make an Easter animation. I made my easter egg bounce across the screen and then it got eaten by a crocodile!.

I had to duplicate each slide and move the easter egg a little bit each time. I used the arrow keys to move the egg bit by bit. The trick is when I embed it into my blog by changing the timing.

This was a lot of fun to do. It was hard to remember to duplicate the slides as I went. I think next time I would find a way of making the easter egg disappear into the crocodile's mouth.
